Gullak does not guess the 2038 Budget. It applies today's statute and today's coupons, then writes them on the briefing so you can see what would have to change to break the plan.

Gullak applies today's statute — 12.5% equity LTCG, ₹1.25 lakh exemption, 20% STCG, 12.5% debt LTCG without indexation, 4% cess, new-regime slabs, Section 64 clubbing. Parliament can change any of these before your child turns 18.
PPF 7.1% and SSY 8.2% are the notified rates this quarter. Over a 10–20 year child plan we still project at today's coupon unless you override, then show a conservative case 1.5 points lower.
A college goal compounds at education inflation (default 9%), not headline CPI. That is why a ₹25 lakh engineering degree today is not a ₹25 lakh problem in 2038.
Base 12%, conservative 9%, optimistic 14%. The briefing always shows the post-tax real number in the conservative case so you do not plan on a bull market.
Section 64(1A) clubs a minor's interest and capital gains with the parent. EEE schemes stay tax-free; everything else is taxed at your slab, not the child's.
